Analysis & consulting

We design solutions for additive manufacturing. We assess geometry, material and production strategy.

Every project starts with a detailed technical analysis of requirements. Together with the client we define key component parameters such as mechanical strength, weight, geometric accuracy, surface quality or material property requirements.

We also assess whether the part is suitable for additive manufacturing. Some components can be significantly lightened through 3D printing, their design simplified or the number of assembly parts reduced.

Based on the analysis we propose an optimal production strategy – from geometry design through to subsequent manufacturing and finishing processes.

The goal of this phase is to minimise production risks, optimise costs and fully leverage the potential of additive technologies.
Data

We prepare production 3D data. We process CAD models, drawings, scans and technical documentation.
We process a wide range of technical inputs from which we prepare precise 3D models suitable for additive manufacturing.

We work with data such as:
- CAD models (STEP, IGES, STL and other formats)
- technical drawings and design documentation
- 3D scans and digitised data
- CT or other volumetric data
- inputs for reverse engineering
If only drawing documentation or a physical part is available, we can create a new digital model through geometry reconstruction.

The result is an optimised 3D model ready for design adjustments and the production process.
Design & preparation

We optimise parts for metal 3D printing. We design orientation, supports and lattice structures.
Parts designed for conventional manufacturing are often not optimal for additive technologies. We therefore carry out design adjustments that allow full use of metal 3D printing capabilities.

We optimise component geometry to reduce weight, increase strength or integrate multiple functions into a single part.

We use methods such as:
- topology optimisation
- generative design
- lattice structure design
- optimisation of part orientation for printing
Preparation also includes support structure design and production data preparation for LPBF technology.
LPBF manufacturing

Manufacturing takes place using Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) on the industrial metal 3D printer TruPrint 2000.

The process involves progressively melting thin layers of metal powder with a highly precise laser. This creates fully functional metal components with very complex geometry.

This technology enables production of parts that would be difficult to realise or economically inefficient using conventional manufacturing methods.

We primarily use titanium alloy Ti6Al4V (ELI), which offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent corrosion resistance and long-term material stability.
Post-processing

Finishing operations for final properties. Heat treatment, CNC machining and surface treatments.
After printing, technological operations follow that ensure the required mechanical properties and final component quality.

These processes may include:
- heat treatment to relieve internal stresses
- removal of support structures
- CNC machining of precise functional surfaces
- surface treatments (blasting, grinding, etc.)
Post-processing is an important part of the manufacturing process as it ensures accuracy, functionality and long-term reliability of the parts produced.
Quality control

We verify accuracy and material properties. CT inspection, metrology and production documentation.
Every manufactured component undergoes thorough quality control.

We use modern measurement and inspection methods that verify both geometric accuracy and the material properties of the part produced.

Inspection may include:
- CT scanning for internal structure control
- precise dimensional metrology
- mechanical material testing
- production process documentation and batch traceability
Thanks to these procedures we can guarantee high manufacturing quality and full traceability of every component.

Complex geometries from metal powder

LPBF enables production of parts with internal channels, multi-port blocks and organic shapes that would be difficult or impossible to achieve through conventional machining.

By progressively melting layers of metal powder, fully functional components are created directly from a digital model – from prototype to small-series production. Typical examples include manifold blocks, cooling structures, brackets and parts with integrated functions in a single body.

On the industrial TRUMPF TruPrint 2000 system we primarily work with Ti6Al4V alloy. We support every project with data preparation, print orientation optimisation, manufacturing, post-processing and quality control according to your requirements.
